IIM Trichy Permanet Campus - Update

Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli (IIMT) is the eleventh IIM established by the Government of India under the Ministry of Human Resource Development. The institute, which was launched in June 2011, is currently functioning in the temporary campus located inside National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli (NITT) Campus, Tiruchirappalli.

IIM Trichy is setting up its own campus with world class facilities in Chinna Suriyur Village, Near Bharathidasan University, Pudukottai Main Road, Tiruchirappalli PIN-620024. It's foundation stone was laid by the Hon'ble Minister of HRD and Telecommunication, Mr.Kapil Sibal on January 04, 2011 on 170 Acres of land provided by the Government of Tamilnadu.

The institute would move to its own campus within few months. Most of the buildings namely, Academic Block, Admin Block, Faculty Housing, Student Hostels, Staff Housing and Food Court has reached up to the furnishing level. In certain buildings,the contractor has even completed all the furnishing works. The estimated investment to set up the new campus is around Rs 584 Crores. The funding for the new campus is available from Ministry of Human Resource Development.
